Are big tech companies in on email scams like this?

This video shows where the rabbit hole ends with a typical Email scam, Norton affiliates.
Sometimes, it surprises me that scammers guide you to a legitimate website to purchase a product they say will “protect you.”

It’s all part of the scam. The question is, are these big tech companies like Norton or McAfee doing anything about it?
Do they audit these links and refuse to pay when they discover the fraudulent way the customer landed on their site? Probably not.
Are big tech companies in on email scams like this?
If they keep paying the criminal affiliates, then YES!

In all my years of investigating cyber incidents, I have never been forwarded to CrowStrike or SentinelOne’s websites from a scam email.
They have the tech to stop it and have ethically chosen NOT to gain from others being scammed.
